Don Lafferty, Eastview, KY, won the 1985 Southern States Tourney held July 29th - August 2 at Ken-Bar Inn at Gilbertsville, Ky. It was a close, Honor Point finish over H. L, Cravens and Elbert Lowder, and those two tied for second and third when they were also tied in Honor Points. The top three shared $925 in prize money.
